Engineering and welding courses at Preston College are housed in the impressive iSTEM Centre, a multi- million pound, purpose built facility offering a dynamic learning environment, from advanced manufacturing workshops, a subsonic wind tunnel, 3D printers and purpose-built welding bays, all designed to help you formulate ideas, test briefs and present findings. Engineering continues to be a highly popular profession, with engineers and technicians amongst some of the most in-demand positions in the world. Here at Preston College, for those looking to enhance
their engineering career, we offer progression to the Level 3 Engineering Subsidiary Diploma. For those interested in welding, we also have a range of Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Fabrication and Welding qualifications. For those already experienced across these sectors and looking to take their education to a higher level, you will find a range of higher apprenticeships as well as engineering HNCs, offering the ideal opportunity to achieve qualifications which reflect experience, skills and existing sector-based knowledge.
