DR ABED ESOL ENTRY LEVEL 2 & 3
Dr Abed, a renowned author and former lecturer from Jordan University, arrived in the UK in from Syria in 2023. With a doctorate in Islamic Economics, his dream is to teach here in the UK. Enrolling on an ESOL course at Preston College, Dr Abed has improved his English skills and his confidence to go on and fulfil his ambition in the future. “My time at Preston College has been fantastic and the support my family received to help us settle in has been incredible! Plus, the talent of the tutors and their expressive teaching styles, has really helped me to understand concepts and reach my full potential.”

HEDI ESOL TUTOR
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) has always had an important role in Hedi’s life. As a qualified primary school teacher in Serbia, on arriving in the UK, Hedi enrolled on the ESOL Functional Skills Level 2 course at Preston College, which she successfully completed before progressing on to the TESOL course. Since completing her TESOL course, Hedi now works as an ESOL teacher at Preston College, where she takes great pleasure in helping students to achieve their goals and support their progression. “I immediately knew achieving the TESOL qualification would be a great opportunity to extend my knowledge in teaching English, as well as bringing teaching English to foreign students back into my life. There is such a warm atmosphere at Preston College, where you feel appreciated and welcome, which I now replicate with all my ESOL learners too.”
