A HUB FOR UAS TRAINING AND RESEARCH INNOVATION

As part of Embry-Riddle’s growing research park, the UAS test facility will advance the university’s training, research and workforce development capabilities in the UAS field. Equipped with the latest technology, the UAS test facility will allow the Florida Center for UAS Training, Technology and Policy to:

• Create a pipeline of FAA-certified UAS professionals to meet growing workforce demands. • Assess the impact of UAS integration on the national airspace and help develop regulatory policies to mitigate and leverage those impacts. • Develop and run simulations that model complex UAS flight-scenarios, allowing companies agencies and organizations to assess risks, determine costs and identify new safeguards and efficiencies in operations. • Lead innovation in UAS technology, developing solutions for detect and avoid systems, alternative propulsion methods, payload integration, airframe design and more.
