7. INSTALLATION

7.1 Init ial Consideration s

7.1.1 Th e locat ion o f th e unit(s ) mus t b e planne d t o maximi ze ef fectiv e operatio n and , simultaneously , affo rd acces s for servic e and maintenance, wh ile keepin g s afe ty consideration s a t th e forefront. Explosion s an d fire s in collectio n system s a re no t uncommon ; therefore , system s shou ld b e des igned an d place d with thos e tw o aspect s in min d an d in accordan ce with an y lo cal, state , o r nation al fire/safe ty codes/regulations. Though t shou ld als o b e give n t o ele ctrical an d compresse d air sources , keepin g in min d th at th e collecto r wi ll n ee d t o b e connecte d with electricity , compresse d a ir, an d fire dete ction/suppression systems (optional). Should additional questions arise, or assistance is needed, consult your Clean Air Industries distributor.

7.1.2 After installation, access/clearance mus t be a vailable t o se rvice t he followin g co mponents:

1. Filters 2. Fan 3. Valves 4. Controls 5. Dus t drawer/drums

7.2 Mechanical

NOTE: All of the mechanical installation must be performed by a qualified installer and in accordance with local, state, and national codes/regulations/laws (if any).

7.2.1 The ADT s eries u nit is a f actory a ssembled d ust/smoke collecto r. Placement/movemen t of the u n it inside t he fact ory is, usually, the maj o r concern. Ensure y ou h ave en ough r oom i n front of t he access d oors a nd/or d us t drawers for easy filter a ccess, as well a s all a round t he u n it fo r access in t he even t of main tenance or emergency. 7.2.2 Af ter p lacemen t the co llector should be secured to th e floor using tapered a ncho r bolts (optional) . 7.2.3 In mo s t cases, when a hoppe r and leg a ssembly is o rdered, it will co me d etached fr om t he filte r body a ssembly . If th is i s the ca se, a sealan t mus t be a pplied t o t he flan ge co nnections prior to connectin g t he dus t collecto r body t o t he h oppe r assembly . If th is a i r tigh t se al is n o t created, d us t can escape b etween t he flan ge co nnections. NOTE: Should questions arise concerning total weight, consult your Clean Air Industries Distributor or Clean Air Industries Factory. 7.3 Electrical NOTE: All of the electrical installation must be performed by a qualified electrician and in accordance with local, state, and national codes/regulations/laws (if any).
