AREA OF INTEREST—Higher Education and Nonprofit Service and City Government
“Texarkana is on the verge of something great–two new interstate corridors, a new airport terminal, a thriving, revitalized downtown, a growing higher education landscape – and it’s up to us as the next generation of leaders to ensure we maximize the potential of our culturally and historically rich city. I will continue my support of higher education through my service on the Eagle Impact Board of Directors and other involvement with TAMU-T. As part of the incredible network of nonprofits through my work at Harvest, I plan to utilize the knowledge and resources I’ve gained this year to secure more corporate/business support for hunger relief efforts in our region. Lastly, I believe that a well-run city with honest, accountable elected officials is essential to successful economic development. I plan to attend city board meetings to ensure my side of the state line’s best interests are being represented on my behalf.”
