AREA OF INTEREST—Economic/ BUSINESS success; EDUCATIONAL excellence and capacity

“I imagine what Texarkana could be if we truly invested in adult education, and I work each day at the Literacy Council to lead a targeted effort to not only impact the cycle of generational poverty but also promote learning enrichment opportunities for all adults. My team and I help adult learners build the academic and personal skills they need in order to better provide for themselves and their families. Additionally, I plan to positively impact Texarkana’s economic development by collaborating with businesses as we prepare adults for our local workforce. With my passion for education, I also plan to further support Texarkana by serving as a senator in the TAMUT Student Government Association and volunteering with the Texas High Theatre and Band Booster organizations.”
