The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 21

The Lakes South Morang College Newsletter PRINCIPAL REPORT

creative students. I hope they warmed your hearts as they did for us.

Participation and excellence will only continue to be enhanced in our College and beyond if we highlight student achievements. Our level of school pride and positive culture for learning must come from students and their belief in themselves. As adults, we must all rally around them and identify opportunities for their personal growth and collective efficacy in a safe and rewarding environment. The leaders at our College are excited and have embraced our pursuit for success as an exemplar P - 12 College and will leave no stone unturned to deliver for our students. To all of our families, thank you for your continued support. Our teachers really do appreciate it! You are equal partners in the learning process. Have a wonderful, safe and relaxing festive season. On behalf of Bonnie, Marcus & I, we will be waiting for your child ’ s return to school next January, 30th for our “ Meet & Greet ” day with excitement and the anticipation of a tremendous 2024 learning year!

MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR I just wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate not only the final issue of the College Newsletter for 2023, but also acknowledge and thank all who have contributed to the 21 issues over the year. In particular I would like to thank the principal team; Bonnie, Marcus and Bill for their ongoing support and regular reports. Thankyou to Cam, Rob and Jaz, along with their fantastic student leaders who have also ensured each issue celebrates student voice and learning across the College. Thankyou to Amanda and the members of School Council who have embraced the newsletter and have worked collaboratively with me to develop articles and ideas for future issues. Each fortnight the College Newsletter provides our community with not only a snapshot of what has been achieved but also a celebration of connections we are building and opportunities and events coming up. In our final issue of The Lakes South Morang College Newsletter we have our 2023 Primary and Secondary school captains reflection, filmed at our Awards Night, along with a celebration of all the End of Year award winners from the night. SRC students have also put together a piece on the fantastic Crazy Colour Run fundraising day. If you are unsure of what your child needs to begin 2024 or how the beginning of Term 1 will look, you will also find this information in this issue.

Thankyou to everyone who takes the time to read what is put together each fortnight. From myself and my team of staff who support each issue, have a wonderful and safe holidays.
