each other. This does not mean there are no conflicts. Many problems of per sonal adjustment are yet to be solved, as well as those of food and shelter. In all of this, in the light of the tremendous handicap of nations jealous of their success, one sees the indomitable will of the human spirit when it has an ideal. Israel is making the land blossom and produce where for hundreds of years squatters kept the land from its real use, even depleting it further after hun dreds of years of war. Yet how much more victorious would it be if in the will of God! What the unbelieving Jews achieve in their will and by their own effort is merely chaff when compared with what God can and will do to- own His promises! Alexander Goldberg, one of Israel’s industrial leaders, manager of a chem ical plant, stated that Israel is one of the rare countries of the world which contains all the basic elements needed to produce almost everything they need. In fertilizers and chemicals alone they have untold resources. In the Negev are an estimated hundred million tons of phosphate in the Makhtesh Magodol or grand canyon of Israel, and the Dead Sea is the storehouse of fabulous amounts of chemicals, especially potash. Actually these vast stores could turn the land into a garden. But God is taken not into the partnership with the new Israel. As fast as skill and financial means can be turned into machines and serv ices, new products are produced with the prospect that in a short time the newest nation on earth, a revival of an ancient people and faith, will become self-sustaining. Already automobiles are rolling off the assembly lines, roads are being built for modern conveyances, farms, whole new areas, are marked out and restored from ancient, neglected acreages. A marvelous thing has happened, like a light in a dark place. A copy of a portion of the Isaiah MS., the book fore telling the future glorious millennium, was discovered. Other great finds will be found as the ancient sites are excavated, old caves opened, and some of the gravest criticisms of the Scriptures will be answered! Each era when there has been a stir in the Holy Land, some new clue, like an answer to prayer, from archaeology and history, has upheld God’s Word. And what is happening now is a re minder that the last week of Daniel is yet to come. Some believers have won dered if that time had come. Daily we see even more signs of the fig tree putting forth its leaves. Only when suddenly the alien is pushed out of Jerusalem, either by direct or in direct act of God, will we know that events will move even more swiftly than they are moving now. with God. The still small voice is no longer heard in the blare of commercials and silly prattle called humor. The power of the atom is loosed and men talk about it instead of the power of God unto salvation. Now the crowning events are plans to space space where only angels have gone before, and the great “satellite” which men are talking about building above the earth to float around the earth every two hours! The infidels who carve up the Bible with the glee of bad little boys cutting live birds into pieces, say that God only

fulfills His Word by the deeds of men. They do not believe the Scripture that seme day the heavenly city will hover over the earth. The true believer has a difficult time walking in this present age because its phoniness would deceive the very elect if that were possible. “ When ye see these things begin to come to pass, Then look up, and lift up your heads; For your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28). Signs like these warn the Christian to be watching and waiting.
