Poutmasters fishing derby numbers up

The number of participants in the annual Poutmasters fishing tournament was up considerably this year, said organizers. “We had 348 registrants this year,” said Mike Leman, one of the organizers, “and 362 fish were caught.” The average weight of the larger fish caught (small ones were not weighed) was 333.7 g. The largest fish was caught by Jeannine Beauchamp and weighed 675 g. Participants thought the cooler water this year made for better fishing.
