He is to abide forever in th e individ ual believer and in th e body of be lievers, which is the church. As soon as a person accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, and confesses Him as such b e fo re" men, th e Holy Spirit comes to live in such an one and im p arts the life eternal. He is th e Spirit of Life. He takes possession of the body and makes it His temple. (1 Cor. 6:19, 20; 2 Cor. 6:16 ) and seals th a t body until the day of redemption,— th a t is, un til th e full redemption when we shall have our new and glorified bodies (Eph. 4 :3 0 ). «A nd g rie v e n o t th e H o ly S p irit o f God w h e re b y y e a re se a le d u n to th e d ay of re d em p tio n .” So we must remember th a t He .is in us, lives in us and works through us, and we must recognize Him and let Him govern us, guide us and glorify Christ through us. (John 16 :13 ). 1“ H o w b eit w h en he, th e S p irit of T ru th , is com e, h e w ill g u id e y o u in to a ll t r u th .” He will plead against th e world th a t denies Christ (Rom. 12 :2 ). He- will plead against the flesh,— ou r old na tu re (Gal. 5 :1 7 ). We are helpless w ithout Him. He has all knowledge and will -impart to us th e wisdom we need (1 Cor. 2:10, 11 ). “B u t God h a th re v e a le d th e m u n to u s by H is S p irit! fo r th e S p irit s e a rc h e th a il th in g s , y e a , th e deep th in g s o f God.
