Memory Verse: “ I will not leave you com fortless; I will come to you.” John 14:18. ate ate COME AND SHAVE FATHER A man slowly recovering from a seri­ ous illness told his little son to go to th e b arb er’s and say, “ Please will you come and shave fa th e r? ” Instead, how­ ever, of saying “ shave,” the little boy said, “Please, sir, will you come and save fa th e r? ” “Oh, I can’t do th a t, as I am not saved myself; bu t I can see a gentlem an coming who can.” The re­ su lt was th a t th e gentleman, who was none other th an Mr. A lbert Midlane, went back w ith th e boy, read, prayed, and expounded the Word, till a t length ligh t broke, and th e man found peace. The shaving was duly carried out afte r­ wards. jMfc. .ife m m SAVED BY A SHOUT The Rev. E dgar Ball, superintendent of Mansfield Prim itive Methodist Cir­ cuit, relates how a shout from him saved a man’s life. A rriving a t Tam- worth North-western Railway Station, w ith his wife and baby, he went to the guard ’s van in order to get th e child’s push-cart. He had noticed an express approaching on th e other set of metals, bu t a man who had not seen the on­ coming tra in was ju st about to walk across th e line. Seeing the man’s peril, Mr. Ball instantly shouted w ith all his strength. The man heard, jumped backwards into safety, ahd th e tra in passed on. “How infinitely more u r­ gent,” asks Mr. Ball, “ is it to w arn men of th e ir spiritual danger? Woe is me if I preach not the Gospel!”

Remember God is made of th ree persons, F ath er, Son, and Holy Spirit, and We make one God. When th e Holy Spirit is w ith you I am, and th e F a th e r is also. F o r W e . th ree are one person, as well as th ree persons.” (Draw the 3 small cir­ cles, nam ing them F ath e r, Son, Holy Spirit, enclosing them in the one large Oval, nam ing th a t GOD. (Explain in th is way how we always have the T rin­ ity w ith u s). “ If you love,” said Jesus “ you will do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do. He will tell you silently, when you are rig h t and when wrong, for I will tell H im what, to tell you. He will always tell you what I say, and what I w ant you to know and do. He will feel very sorry when you do wrong for He knows ju st how sad it makes Me.” Every morning we ought to thank Jesus for caring fo r us in the night, and ask Him what He w ants us to do for Him during the day. Then if we love Jesus, the Holy Spirit will be w ith us all th e day, showing us w hat to do, or say, or even think. He will help us to be good a t home, a t school, when playing, or wherever we are. If we forget and do wrong, Jesus will let us
