BLACKBERRY BACK WITH PHYSICAL KEYBOARDS FOR PHONE

TCL Communication recently unveiled a new version of its flagship BlackBerry smartphone that has larger physical keys, in efforts to win back customers who want true key- boards rather than touchscreen. The new BlackBerry KEY2 LE smartphone features a rede- signed physical keyboard with keys that are nearly 10 percent larger than on the device’s previous model, the KEYone. The phone is manufactured and sold by TCL Communication, a Chinese tech company that bought the licensing rights to BlackBerry’s brand in 2016. The new offering from BlackBerry will also include a dual rear camera that includes portrait mode, Google’s Android operating system and a 4.5-inch display. With a retail price of $399 for the 32-gigabyte phone that became available in early September the Chinese firm will again try to challenge for market share from the likes of Apple and Samsung.

SONY NEW HIGH-END SMARTPHONE IS ALL ABOUT VIEWING PLEASURE With the Christmas shopping season just around the corner, Sony launches a premium smartphone offering the latest in screen and camera technology in an attempt to capture new customers and turn its struggling mobile unit around. The new Xperia XZ3 is the Japanese tech giant’s first device with an organic light emitting diode or OLED display screen, similar to the Apple iPhone X. However, Sony’s 6-inch OLED display offering uses the same technology that it deploys on its high-end Bravia TV line offering greater power efficiency and allow more vibrant and contrasting colors on the display screens offering greater viewing pleasure for users when streaming or viewing creating images with 19 megapixel primary sensor camera and a 13 megapixel screen camera, so you can take the perfect selfie for that social media post. Sony’s new offering will also give owners the ability to record video in 4K, which is four times the resolution of standard high definition and it will run the latest version of Google’s Android operating system also, which should get it on a few Christmas wish lists.
