The Immigration Working Group (part of the Peace & Social Justice Committee at Stony Run Friends Meeting) continues to support families from Syria, Egypt, Sudan, and other countries as they adjust to living in the US. For the summer of 2022, we were grateful to again receive a grant from the Miles White Beneficial Society to take the children on day trips. This summer we added swimming lessons at the home of a volunteer. We had even more children from the African Diaspora Friends join us and everyone loved making new friends! If you would like to become involved, please contact Maria Brown, Rosalie Dance, Zawadi Dance or Ann Kehinde. No special skills required; just consistency once you get in- volved and an openness and appreciation for other cultures!
