ANCC FOUNDATION DID YOU KNOW? Daniel’s Run Evolution Daniel’s Run was named for William O’ Daniel, who in 1724 received a grant from Thomas, the Sixth Lord Fairfax, of 400 acres south of Accotink Creek and bisected by the current Old Lee Highway. The Run was originally a lazy, winding stream which flowed from its source at a spring near the current Fairfax City Hall to Accotink Creek. To learn more about Daniel’s Run, click here.
