Value your dreams, and make them a reality

The way we want to live our lives starts as nothing more than a thought —probably fleeting. If the thought is really, really nice, we’ll come back to it and dream about it. We’ll add detail, make it clearer, brighter, bigger and altogether more real. We become absorbed in our dreams, they’re a nice place to be. Most people don’t fully value their dreams. They think because they can’t physically see, touch or hear them that they’re not real. Successful people on the other hand, instinctively know that their dreams have the power to change their lives. They cherish their dreams. They believe —with every fibre of their being that their dreams will come true. Every day, they do something thing that brings their dream closer. Irrespective of failure and set-backs, they never… ever doubt that their dreams will come true. These are the people that change their lives; they are also the people who change the world. When you’re in their company, it’s inspiring. Through their unwavering belief that the future will be better than today, they make you feel as though anything is possible. It wasn’t too long ago that Frank VanderSloot had nothing more than a dream. It was his belief alone that made Melaleuca a $1 billion company with more than a million customers and consequently helped thousands of families across the world live healthier, happier lives.
At this very moment, I am inspired by many of you. Time and time again, during conversations I hear you say, “I can do it,” and “It will happen” and “I’m going to advance my business this month.” These are the statements of successful people. It’s exciting and humbling for me to be part of. I am not hoping or wishing or dreaming that good things will happen, I know for certain they will, through your attitude. I am convinced that we are on the verge of something great. I cannot wait to see how far we can go—although repeating Frank’s success would be incredible! For those of you who want to change your lives but doubt that it’s possible, please understand that being doubtful is a terrible mistake. Inside the pages of this copy of Leadership in Action , you will find stories of people just like you who’ve worked hard and overcome their fears. Today, they work when they want and they set their own income. They gained this freedom by never stopping believing that they could change their life, no matter what anyone said or what obstacles life threw at them. When you live your life completely convinced that success will be yours, people will want to be around you and you will transmit your belief to them — it’s one of the most special gifts you can give! When people work together and pursue their dreams relentlessly there can only be one very beautiful outcome: MUTUAL SUCCESS.
There are very exciting times on the horizon. This year we will see Senior Director Advancements in every edition of Leadership in Action . Many, many people will replace and exceed their incomes and get a free car courtesy of Melaleuca. And, we will take a huge step forward in our goal to double the business. Lacking belief is the only thing holding you back. Always remember, you control what you think and believe; don’t waste your thoughts on doubt and uncertainty.
