HCSO ANNUAL REPORT - 2024

As Colonel of Field and Support Operations for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, it is my honor to reflect on the progress we have made over the past four years. Together, we have advanced public safety and strengthened our connection with the community we serve. In my role overseeing field and support operations, we have achieved key milestones. We established a Special Operations Unit, expanded the K9 Unit, and launched an Aviation and Drone Unit to enhance operational capabilities. We also welcomed the first woman to our SWAT team, reflecting our commitment to inclusion and excellence. Operationally, we processed thousands of civil papers, warrants and extraditions to ensure justice and accountability. Our partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, have increased our relentless pursuit of wanted criminals by improving intelligence-sharing and operational efficiency. Our Training Unit has enhanced law enforcement education by sharpening decision-making, de-escalation, and high-pressure response skills. Through advanced training, realistic scenarios, and ongoing development, we have prepared our deputies to handle complex challenges with integrity, precision, and sound judgment. In 2024, we modernized recruitment with the creation of the Background & Recruiting Section, streamlining processes to attract top-tier candidates who embody our core values: Integrity, Honor, and Loyalty. Our engagement with the community has remained strong through events and neighborhood meetings, fostering trust and collaboration. Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to leveraging technology, advancing training, and deepening relationships to ensure Henry County remains safe place to live and work.

Thank you for your trust—it is our privilege to serve you.

Sincerely, Antonio B. Catlin Colonel of Field and Support Operations Henry County Sheriff’s Office Antonio B. Catlin
