The HCSO continues to uphold its strong commitment to public safety through its Special Task Force Warrant Operations. From 2022 to 2024, these operations have not only cleared numerous warrants and apprehended offenders but have also greatly improved the safety and well-being of the community.
WARRANTS CLEARED ARRESTS 275 356 OPERATION SAFE HENRY
OPERATION SAFE HENRY September 2024 marked the 5th iteration of the highly successful "Operation Safe Henry," a collaborative effort involving the HCSO and local and regional law enforcement agencies. Safe Henry operations focused on apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants in Henry County, marking another critical step in our ongoing fight against crime and ensuring public safety. The operation was led by Special Investigations and Special Operations and exemplified the power of cooperative law enforcement, bringing together multiple agencies to address this issue head-on.
OPERATION CITY SWEEP The Fugitive Unit led the successful "Operation City Sweep," a partnership with city law enforcement agencies targeting individuals with active warrants across multiple jurisdictions. This operation reduced criminal activity and enhanced safety within local communities with 139 warrants cleared and 30 arrests made. Focusing on offenders wanted for a range of crimes, from misdemeanors to violent offenses, "Operation City Sweep" demonstrates the Fugitive Unit’s effectiveness in bringing offenders to justice.
