1952 7 GAME SERIES YANKEES WIN, 4-3

A fter a two-year break, the Dodg- ers losing two dramatic pennant races and the Yankees winning both World Series, the rivals met again in 1952. The surprise regular season hero for the Dodgers was rookie relief star Joe Black (15-4, 2.42), who then started Games 1, 4, and 7 in the Series. Black went all the way to beat the Yankees in the first game, 4-2, backed by home runs from Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider and Pee Wee Reese. Vic Raschi evened the series for the Yankee with a 7-1 victory,
