Take Highway 49 across the Cumberland River and turn left on River Road to reach Brush Creek Recreation Area. Located 11 miles northwest of Ashland City, the right bank is a day-use area that provides picnic shelters that may be reserved. The area also features numerous individual picnic tables with grills, a beach with sand (no life guard on duty), boat launching ramps, playgrounds, volleyball courts, a softball field and public restrooms.
