CC VISITORS GUIDE 2023

The Cheatham County School District is living up to its mission statement .

The district is “creating opportunities for all students to be successful, lifelong learners and to develop into respectful and caring citizens, who engage in a positive society.” Academically in 2022, the Tennessee Department of Education named the district a “Best for All” district for implementing strategies to raise student academic achievement and designated the district as an “Advancing” district – the second highest rating a district can achieve. The district also launched a new Kindness Grows Here program in which schools have partnered with Cheatham County non-profit organizations, community groups and businesses. Through this program, schools have collected food, clothes, backpacks, and toilet paper for their adopted partners; helped build a Habitat for Humanity home; performed at local healthcare facilities; and stuffed holiday stockings for senior citizens. The schools are doing great work across Cheatham County through the Kindness Grows Here program, and the students are truly making a difference in the community they call home. The district is proud of its long and rich history of providing an outstanding academic experience for its students.
