Chicago, Illinois based Mesirow, an independent, employ- ee-owned financial services firm, announced it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Monomoy Capital Part- ners and its portfolio company Mac Papers and Packag- ing on Mac Papers’ acquisition of Dependable Packaging Solutions (DPS), a Miami, Florida based distributor of cor- rugated products, point of purchase displays and packag- ing products for the e-commerce, agricultural, floral and general retail markets. Mac Papers is a leading value-added paper and pack- aging distributor of the Southeast U.S. Founded in 1965, the company operates distribution centers and retail stores throughout the Southeast and serves as a trusted distribution partner for paper and print, packaging materi- als and equipment, wide format products and equipment, facility supplies and office products. The acquisition of DPS will enhance Mac Papers’ existing portfolio of prod- ucts and supply chain logistics while enhancing opera- tional capacity and efficiency. Miamisburg, Ohio based Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS) has confirmed the acquisition of MultiCam Inc, a U.S. manufacturer and distributor of CNC cutting ma- chines and digital finishing processes. The acquisition of MultiCam, including its operations in the U.S. and sales of- fices in Canada and Germany, expands Kongsberg’s mar- ket reach and customer base across North America and Europe and creates a diversified provider of digital finish- ing and CNC cutting machines. News of the acquisition comes just five months after Kongsberg PCS was estab- lished as a stand-alone business after being acquired by OpenGate Capital.
