church, and the Sunday following she- received Christ there. Quite a number went home, read the literature they were given and then wrote back when they found the Lord by themselves. The young folks, students from the high schools and universities, make up a large part of the audience. In telligent and responsive, they hear that God has a wonderful plan for their lives if they will yield to His love. The thousands of college stu dents working at the Fair have been a fertile field for sowing the Word. They have been intrigued by the throngs waiting in line before each session. Although the auditorium holds nearly 300, it is a heart-breaking ex perience for the ushers to turn hun dreds away during the day. Often be fore the live demonstrations, those who have been there before are asked to step out of line that others may come in for the first time. “ SERMONS FROM SCIENCE” was brought to the World’s Fair in Seattle by a “Christ for the World” Com mittee of evangelical laymen and pas- tors, headed by Mr. Leonard Gustaf son, a Seattle business man. It has been backed by the CBMC, and evan gelical churches, group and individ uals. Dr. George Speake, former naval officer and member of the Moody In stitute of Science, will be on hand for three live demonstrations daily throughout the 180 days of the Fair. With a ton of electronic and scien tific equipment, and an abundance of sharp repartee, He captivates the au dience as he challenges them with his demonstrations declaring that peo ple cannot trust their own physical senses. With brilliance and force, he then proves the truth of Scripture verses they may have found it hard to believe. Although geared to the skeptics and unsaved, many who thought they were Christians found they lacked a personal relationship with the Lord. Mr. Gordon Klenck of Campus Crusade is in charge of the counseling with a staff of assistants and volunteer counsellors. For six months we have had an un paralleled opportunity of sowing the seed and reaping a harvest that shall last throughout eternity.
