EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY
Greetings from the Cheatham County School District, where “Five-Star Quality, Five-Star Education, Achieving Excellence Together” is our guiding principle. Every day in classrooms across our district, students are engaged in the arts. All art courses are taught by highly-qualified, properly-certified instructors who are passionate about student learning in the arts. At the elementary level, art and music education are offered, allowing students to develop an understanding of the cultural and creative nature of music and art. At the secondary level, our middle and high schools offer a broad spectrum of performing and visual arts such as band, choir, art and theatre. Our high schools feature award-winning marching bands and stage multiple theatrical productions throughout the year. We are proud to report that a portion of our Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds are being used this year to support these programs in all of our schools. By providing our students the opportunity to experience and engage in the arts, we support the academic, creative, collaborative and emotional needs of our students, equipping them to become critical thinkers and to shape the future of an ever-changing world.
