The Centre for Research into Gender and Culture in Society (GENCAS) GENCAS is an interdisciplinary research body bringing together staff and postgraduate students from across the University who conduct research into gender, enabling members to share their expertise and work collaboratively. The Centre hosts conferences, symposia and workshops, providing a stimulating environment for PhD students. Scholarly work spans a range of disciplines including: • Business Studies • English Literature • History, Classics and Egyptology • Media and Communication • Medicine and Midwifery
All research students belong to the Graduate Centre, providing pastoral as well as administrative support and is also responsible for research skills training and support, while facilitating a lively intellectual environment for the postgraduate research community of 200 students.
