Our postgraduate research office coordinates interdisciplinary postgraduate researcher activities and support across the University. We work to ensure you have the best possible student experience by providing: access to funding and development opportunities, training and resources to support you in developing your professional and research skills, and providing access to student-led events and activities. SUPPORTING YOUR DEVELOPMENT We offer a comprehensive training and development programme for postgraduate researchers, supporting you to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes to excel in your research and your future career. TRAINING FRAMEWORK Our training framework, made up of ten different themes, is designed to support your research and professional development at every stage of your candidature.

Each theme has workshops, resources and opportunities at different levels, according to the stage of your candidature or level of experience: Engage - Introducing students near the beginning of their candidature to the tools needed to ensure their research journey starts in the best possible way. Explore - Developing skills for those in the middle of candidature, introducing new research techniques and tools, exploring the impact of research and supporting their engagement with the wider research community. Enhance - Supporting students coming to the end of their research degree to complete their research and plan for their future whether inside or outside academia.
