Children are meant to learn through play. When children are actively engaged in hands - on, interactive learn- ing activities, their creativity flourishes. Snapology engages children using LEGO® bricks, K ’ Nex and technology. While the kids are having fun with familiar toys, laptops and iPads, we sneak in the educational concepts!

If you are getting tired of playing the same old sports everyday, this is definitely the program for you. The non - traditional style of games/competitions will keep all participants on their toes learning new games as they get further into this program. Have you ever heard of Fort Knox? Or Ultimate Frisbee? What about Army Dodgeball? This unique program will also put emphasis on physical fitness, proper stretching techniques and team work.

Wallet and Holiday Apron: Sewers will learn the ins and outs of following a pattern, pinning, hand sewing and ma- chine sewing. With the guidance of Mrs. Meade you'll create a final project to be proud of! Sewing machines will be provided. Fee includes materials and pattern. Instructor: Ginny Beaudin - Meade Pick a Project: Children in the class will be offered expert guidance on project(s) that they have selected. Please pick a project(s) from the material list and purchase what you need for the class. Project list is avail- able at Sterling Rec.com. Your child is welcome to bring in their own project not on the list but they should check in with one of us before they bring it in. If you don't have the time to purchase materials, email ei- ther ginny_meade@wrsd.net or stacey_padilla@wrsd.net with your project selection and we will get back to you. Sewing machines will be provided. BackPack: Children in the class will be offered expert guidance on a mini - backpack project. This is an 8 week program and requires some knowledge of how to use a sewing machine. Finished project is 11 inch- es high by 9 inches wide. A material list will be provided and items must be purchased before the first class. Hardware, machines and needles for hand finishing will be provided as part of the fee.
