“Bargain” costs couple $3,000

Understandably, Michelle Bisson and Marc Séguin were inter- ested when they saw an ad on the Internet offering a camper trailer at an unbelievably low price. A 25-foot camper trailer in Ottawa was being sold for $2,900. This was a great deal, the St-Isidore couple thought. “Normally, a trailer like this would sell for anywhere from $15,000 to $20,000,” says Michelle Bisson. Why was this trailer being sold for so cheap- ly? Via e-mail, the “vendor” said she had just gone through a di- vorce and she did not need it anymore. Apparently, the trailer was too far away to visit in the Yukon and consequently she was selling her trailer via consignment with the “Buy-Trade-Sell Trading Post” site. See Page 23.
