General Rules • Seedstock and commercial quality bulls will be offered for sale by live auction. • Bulls will be available for viewing on Saturday morning prior to the start of the sale. • Bidders need to register prior to the start of the sale and will be assigned a unique bidder number. • IN PERSON Terms are cash / check payable to Burwell Livestock Market. INTERNET BUYERS Terms are payment is due on April 28, 2025 by wire transfer to Burwell Livestock. Call Burwell at 308-346-4257 for wire instructions. • All sales are final. All bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam and are deemed in good health, condition and structural soundness at the time of sale. The Consigning Producer will warranty bulls for 6 months from date of sale for structural soundness (does not cover injury unless veterinary deems injury caused by lack of structural soundness). • All bulls are NAPA registered, either Fullblood or Naturalean, verified 2-copy for Piedmontese myostatin C313Y, and ownership registration papers will be transferred to the buyer. • Buyers need not be physically present to bid. Online bidding options are available via DVAuctions. See below. SEMEN PRE-ORDER Option • An opportunity to “pre-order contract” purchase semen at the special price of $14/unit on select bulls in the sale; pre-orders must be in increments of 10 units/bull: • These select bulls will be highlighted in the catalog as “SEMEN BULLS” • You must be physically present on sale day to take part in the Semen Pre-Order Option; it is a one-day-only special price offering. • Semen Pre-Order Contracts are available from a NAPA representative, and must be signed and returned to the NAPA sales representative with your selections at least 1 hour PRIOR to the start of the bull sale. • Proceeds from semen pre-orders will go directly to the bull BUYER after the semen has been collected and frozen. If the bull does not produce freezable quality semen within 12 months of sale date the semen preorder contracts become null and void. • Collection and freezing costs are the responsibility of the bull buyer (generally runs $4/straw). • Payment will be made directly from the semen buyer to the bull buyer, after the semen has been collected and fro - zen, but before it is shipped. Shipping cost is the responsibility of the semen buyer. • The amount of semen pre-ordered and the dollar amount offered for semen on each bull will be announced before bidding starts on that bull. • The bull buyer of any bull with semen pre-order contracts in place is expected to cooperate with the semen collec - tion project. • The buyer of the bull has full possession of the bull and can turn him out with cows whenever is needed. Semen col - lection will be worked around the bull buyer’s breeding season. • The consigning producer (bull breeder) is retaining a 50% semen interest, therefore he is entitled to as much semen as he needs at his cost of collection and freezing. But the consigning producer (bull breeder) is not entitled to any share of semen sale income from the Semen Pre-Order program.
