PimaCare at Home - Training for success
our caregivers and prepare them with the tools and resources they will need on their first day of work. The training lab is also utilized for training refreshers and continuing education. If any time a caregiver feels they need a little more practice with a piece of DME they are more than welcome to schedule time to come on in and practice with our trainers. Our skills lab in addition to Direct Care Worker training, serves as a training site for non-paid family caregivers of Family Caregiver Support program from PCOA. We collaborate on a modified training for family caregivers so they as well can be successful when providing care and do it safely. Many times, folks go through the skills lab and see all the DME and adaptive device that are available to assist their loved ones back at home they didn’t know even existed. This helps the caregiver and their loved one. Training for PCAH is more than a job requirement. It is our opportunity to equip caregivers and set them up for success!
When one is looking for in home care services, it is important to know if the caregiver coming in to provide the service not only has all their background screenings, but that they have the training qualifications to meet ones needs. At PimaCare at Home we provide our training in our Raskob-Paulus Caregiver Skills Lab. Many times, people receive training in settings that do not resemble the actual work environment. Our skills lab is designed as a realistic home setting, providing a hands-on learning opportunity representative of what people may experience in their own homes. It equipped with durable medical equipment (DME) and adaptive devices that can help people to restore their independence, live with dignity, and stay safely in the comfort of their home.
