Monday November 21, 2022 (Clarence-Rockland) Clarence-Rockland’s local radio station, Hot Country 92.5 (CHRC-FM part of Evanov Communications Inc.) is pleased to partner up with The Rockland Help Centre to help raise funds for the over 260 families they support with the first annual Hot Country Radiothon in support of the Rockland Help Centre on Saturday December 10, 2022 from 9 am-5 pm at Parent Independent in Clarence-Rockland. During the radiothon, listeners, and residents will be invited to make a donation on multiple platforms, calling in a donation to 613-446-7594, making a donation on line at Rockland Help Centre- or Centre d’Aide Rockland or by stopping by Parent Independent, 2737 Laurier Street, Clarence-Rockland. Monetary donations are needed as a priority however non- perishable items will be accepted. The Hot Country 92.5 Radiothon in support of the Rockland Help Centre will conclude the Centre’s major fundraising campaign which ran on the centre’s website from, November 25th to December 11 th , 2022. “With the increase in food costs, and general living expenses, we have had more residents reach out for help,” said, André Perras-President. We are so thankful that Hot Country 92.5 approached us with this generous opportunity. We have always appreciated 92.5’s support over the years, but this year, the radio station has outdone themselves. The radio station, along with assistance from the Rockland Help Center will secure dozens of prizes that will be award to those that make a donation during the Hot Country 92.5 Radiothon. “I cannot thank enough the number of local businesses, including partners that have reached out with donations from prizes to direct monetary donations for the center. The response has been overwhelming since we hinted at the event last week.” said Derrick Scott, Evanov Communications Promotions Coordinator / Event Organizer. The Rockland Help Center and Hot Country 92.5 also want to thank Parent Independent in Rockland for allowing organizers to host the event at their location. “The Store has always been community driven and minded and always has the community’s best interest in mind,” said Ted Silver – Program Director of Hot Country 92.5.
