The Fyffe Varsity Cheerleaders made the trip to Auburn to cheer on the Red Devils in the Class 2A State Championship game. The Fyffe Cheerleaders also recently earned third place in Class 2A Varsity Game Day Division. Several other area cheerleader programs were also recognized for their achievements during the recent state Cheer Championship. The top four in each varsity division include: Class 1A: Kinston, Sumiton Christian, Cherokee and Appalachian; Class 2A: Section, Sand Rock, Woodland and Ider; Class 3A: Opp, Winfield, Piedmont, and Geraldine; Class 4A: Brooks, Good Hope, Bayside Academy, and Cleburne County; Class 5A: Scottsboro, Jasper, Boaz and Leflore; Class 6A: Athens, Buckhorn, Northridge, and Hueytown; Class 7A: James Clemens, Bob Jones, Vestavia Hills and Spain Park. The top four cheerleading squads in the Varsity Game Day Division include: (1A) Meek, Kinston, Sumiton Christian, and Cherokee. (2A) Pike Liberal Arts, Sheffield, Fyffe, and Woodland; (3A) Opp, Piedmont, Ashford, and Vinemont; (4A) Andalusia, Curry, Dora and New Hope; (5A) Eufaula, Boaz, Jasper, and Douglas; (6A) Buckhorn, Calera, Athens and Homewood; (7A) Austin, James Clemens, Tuscaloosa County, and Fairhope.
