Melinda Montgomery - SERC Melinda Montgomery is the Senior Director of Engineering & Advanced Analytics with SERC Reliability Corporation, a nonprofit corporation responsible for promoting and improving the reliability, adequacy, and critical infrastructure protection of the bulk powersystem inallorportionsof16SoutheasternandCentralstates. In this role, she providesleadershipto theAdvancedAnalytics department,the ReliabilityAssessmentandPerformanceAnalysis andtheTechnicalServicesdepartmentswhich supporttheSERCTechnicalCommitteesandsubgroups. Sheis responsiblefor oversight of data collection, systems support, as well as support for the teams that develop planning models and perform engineering studies and assessments. Priorto joiningSERC,Ms. Montgomerywas theManagerofTransmissionPlanningatEntergyArkansas.Herbackground includes 20 years of industry experience in system operations and planning. Melinda obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.
