Dr. Jayapalan Senthil - Siemens PTI Dr. Senthil joined PTI (now Siemens PTI) in March 2001. Since then, he has been heavily involved in the development and support of PSS®E dynamic simulation engine, development of specialized dynamic models including wind, PV, HVDC, and FACTS device models for stability simulation, teaching PSS®E related courses, and supporting PSS®E User Group Meetings both nationally and internationally. Prior to joining PTI, he was with ABB in Santa Clara, CA, where he developed production grade software for power system scheduling applications that are typically used by ISOs. Priortothat,hewas withCAEinMontreal,Quebec,Canada,whereheworkedforoverthreeyearsdevelopingadvancedpower system applications. Early in his career, he was with BHEL in New Delhi, India, where he was involved in carrying out power system simulationandHVDCsimulatorstudiesforutilitiesin India. He also spentover a year doingindependentresearchandteachingundergraduateandgraduatecoursesin the Departmentof Electrical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada.
