CHERRY HILLS COUNTRY CLUB shall expire automatically at the end of the month in which remarriage occurs, and he or she shall be required to notify the Secretary immediately of the change in status; provided, however, that he or she may apply within six months of remarriage to become a Member in his or her own right. Upon receipt of such application, the Board of Directors shall post the name of the applicant and vote on such application in the same manner as an original proposal for membership. Any surviving spouse elected to Membership shall be required to pay the full current initiation fee to the category of membership to which he or she is elected. Section 6. Former Spouses. From and after April 27, 2004, this membership classification shall be discontinued. Members in this category prior to April 27, 2004 shall have the rights, privileges, and obligations afforded to Members of such classification as was set forth in the Bylaws in effect prior to April 27, 2004. Section 7. Special Resident Members. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3 above, any person from 21 through 38 years of age (inclusive), when properly proposed and seconded, may be elected to Special Resident Membership. Special Resident Membership shall be divided into three classes - Class A, 21 through 27 years of age (inclusive); Class B, 28 through 35 years of age (inclusive); and Class C, 36 through 40 years of age (inclusive). An applicant’s file must be completed and approved by the Membership Committee, and his or her full application must be completed and accepted by the Membership Committee, before he or she reaches his or her 38th birthday. He or she must be accepted for membership prior to his or her 40th birthday. When a Class A Special Resident Member reaches age 28 and when a Class B Special Resident Member reaches age 36, the Board of Directors shall vote upon their transfer in the same manner as an original application for membership. A Class C Special Resident Member shall be considered for Resident Membership no later than upon reaching age 40 (provided that a Resident Membership vacancy exists). Once a Class C Special Resident Member is considered for Resident Membership, his or her name shall be posted to the Membership, and the Board of Directors shall vote upon his or her transfer in the same manner as an original application for membership. Provided, however, a Class C Special Resident Member may, at his or her option, apply for Resident Membership before reaching age 40, without incurring any additional initiation fees apart from those to which he or she is already obligated. Such Class C Special Resident Member shall be required to apply and go through the usual membership process like any Resident Member applicant, including review by the Membership Committee and approval by the Board of Directors.
