INTRODUCTION - HISTORY OF THE CLUB Your Club as presently organized, was incorporated pursuant to the laws of the State of Colorado, on March 28, 1922, for private social and athletic purposes, and not for pecuniary profit. The original incorporators were the Hon. J. Foster Symes, Myron K. Blackmer, William E. Porter, Ralph D. Brooks, C. Sewell Thomas, Tyson S. Dines, Sr., Frank L. Woodward, Edwin S. Kassler, Fred S. Brown, Henry C. Van Schaack, Robert E. MacCracken, George W. Gano, H. Ralph Antonides, Oscar L. Malo, and A.C. Foster. The corporate name of the Club was changed from “The Cherry Hills Club” to “Cherry Hills Country Club” on November 9th, 1945. The Club formerly leased the Clubhouse and golf course from The Cherry Hills Land Company and its predecessor, Greenwood Land Co. On December 1st, 1955 the Club was formally merged with the Cherry Hills Land Company and pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Merger Agreement, the Club corporation was obtained and now owns the legal title to all land, building, improvements, physical property and equipment used at the Club. As a member you are privileged to use the Club’s facilities and therefore you should be acquainted with how your Club operates, and just what your rights and privileges are. For this reason, the Club Bylaws are printed in this roster. You should also familiarize yourself with certain rules which govern the conduct of the members in and about the Clubhouse, grounds and upon the golf course, since these rules were made solely for your benefit and to protect you in your use and full enjoyment of the Club and the facilities which it offers. Provided each member will conduct himself in a manner and according to the social graces contemplated and prescribed by the rules of the Club, everyone will be able to enjoy to the fullest extent the Club’s functions, golf course and other facilities. It is with this thought in mind, that the House, Ground, Swimming, Tennis, and Electric Cart Rules are set forth hereinafter. Please read them and become acquainted with them, for the above reasons. If you should have any complaints to make regarding the Club’s operation, or the conduct of other members, you are privileged to make them at any time. However, since anonymous or oral complaints cannot be considered, such complaints should be made in writing and signed. All complaints should be referred to either the Chairman of the House Committee or to the Board of Directors, where they will receive appropriate attention and whatever action is deemed necessary or advisable will be taken as soon as possible. The Board of Directors, the Officers and Management of the Club want you to enjoy the facilities of your Club to the utmost, and to make your use of the Club one of life’s most enjoyable experiences. The Board, Officers and Management are all striving constantly to cooperate with you as a member and to make your Club the best of its kind in the entire country. It is hoped that you will make full use of the excellent facilities which your Club has to offer, and beyond anything and everything, let’s have fun while at Cherry Hills.
