written ballot that fails to include the signature of the Member Eligible to Vote, and which cannot be cured in a timely fashion, may be rejected by the Tellers of the election. (b) Voting by proxy. A Member Eligible to Vote may also vote by written proxy in the event they are unable to attend the Annual or Special Meeting. The Secretary shall send the form of proxy to all Members Eligible to Vote at least 15 days before the date of the meeting. The proxy must be clearly marked in accordance with the instructions thereupon and signed by the Member Eligible to vote. Any proxy that fails to include the signature of the Member Eligible to Vote, and which cannot be cured in a timely fashion, may be rejected by the tellers of the election. Proxies may be given to the Secretary in person, by U.S. Mail, by e-mail, or by fax, or to another Member Eligible to Vote in the same manner, to be voted at the meeting as indicated thereupon. Proxies must be returned to the Secretary or other Member Eligible to Vote no later than one hour before the closing of the polls on the date of the Annual or Special Meeting, unless otherwise designated by the Secretary. In the event that a Member Eligible to Vote submits both a proxy and a written ballot, the latter shall take precedence. (c)  Tellers. The Board of Directors shall appoint three tellers for any Annual or Special Meeting where a matter is to be brought before the Members for a vote. Such tellers shall not be Members of the Board of Directors, Officers of the Club, or candidates. Alternatively, the Board of Directors may appoint a qualified outside accounting or other similar firm to act as Tellers. The Tellers shall check the eligibility of those voting, count the written ballots and proxies, and report in writing the result of the election. The Tellers shall attempt to determine the voter’s intent from the face of the written ballot or proxy and give effect to such intent, to the extent practicable. Section 8. Use of Electronic Voting Service. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Article above, the Board of Directors may, in its discretion, authorize the use of an outside electronic voting and election service for the voting of proxies and written ballots in connection with Annual or Special Meetings of the Membership, or other matters with respect thereto.
