VI. NOTIFICATION TO VICTIMS OF CRIMES OF VIOLENCE The College will, upon written request, disclose to the alleged victim of a crime of violence, or a non-forcible sex offense, the report on the results of any disciplinary proceeding conducted by such institution against a student who is the alleged perpetrator of such crime or offense. If the alleged victim is deceased as the result of such crime or offense, the next of kin of such victim shall be treated as the alleged victim for purposes of this paragraph.
VII. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY Admissions:
Davis College admits students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges and programs of the institution. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, physical or mental disability, gender or age in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or other school-sponsored programs. Davis College reserves the right to operate as a church-related institution and develop policies consistent with biblical principles and the religious tenets of its constituency churches. In keeping with biblical directives regarding gender in pastoral authority, only men will be admitted to the Pastoral concentration. Only women may enroll in Women’s Ministries courses. Only men may take Homiletics Lab, and only women may take Ministry Communication for Women, since the presentation of student messages in these courses involves the exercise of spiritual authority. Believing that all human beings are of equal value in the eyes of God, Davis College deplores discrimination and insensitivity based on differences in race, gender, age, socioeconomic status, physical or mental disability, or cultural differences. Attempts at humor which aim to elicit laughter at the expense of individuals based on these differences is considered to be a form of discrimination that is not acceptable in the Christian community. The college is seriously concerned about allegations of discrimination and therefore encourages the reporting of such misconduct. Copies of Davis College’s complete policy regarding Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination are available in the OSD.
The provisions of this article shall apply regardless of whether the violation occurs on campus, off campus, or while studying abroad
