Lauren says they expect to have just one shift when the new building is complete and the new machines come online because of the more efficient layout of the new building. The new building is also de- signed to provide a better working environment for some 80 employees and will also help recruit new talent.

Lauren said it’s a little too early to talk about third-gen- eration interest in the business. But Ryan has three chil- dren 10 years and younger, and she is expecting her first child so that will likely be a conversation to be had down the road. Should they decide to fill those big shoes or not, their entrepreneurial playbook sets a great example of be- ing bold, taking risks and following one’s passion. Their story inspires blood lines, aspiring packagers who are hungry to learn what it takes to be successful and even seasoned packaging professionals.
