Latest Updates in BOMA

BOMA Members,

They say that a photo is worth a thousand words, but the photos on page 7 still do not capture all the fantastic fun and connections that happened at the June 16 Spring Golf Classic. Grab a cup of coffee and scroll through the gallery in this issue of BOMA Briefs. A HUGE thank you to all of our incredible sponsors! You truly made this the best golf outing in the industry! And to our Supplier Committee Crew, we couldn't do it without you! Thank you Viktor Dukaj, Chair, Gregg Montowski, Board Liaison and members Terri Brumley, Laura Marble, Susan Light, Star Mosella, Zach Brown, Bethany DeCoopman, Louden Cox, Scott Keefer, Bud Simon, Marshall Spinner, Rich Elstrom, Jeff Mollard and Rachel Wagner. I also want to extend my thanks and gratitude to Veronica Marlo and her team for leading members through an extensive tour of the magnificent Book Tower Building on June 19. This Outstanding Building of the Year Award winner is a truly amazing building. BOMA members know that these buildings live and breathe and require TLC to keep them healthy. We all came away from this TOBY Tour with some serious respect for the Bedrock team that keeps the Tower a magnificent part of the Detroit landscape. Thank you to sponsors for making it happen; Elite Fire, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., Troy Clogg, Heritage and Co.

The 2025 Outstanding Building of the Year Award Competition kicks off in July and we are happy to bring you the New TOBY Buddy System . Through the Power of Teamwork, We Can Achieve Together. If you have thought about entering your building into the TOBY competition but don’t know where to start, we’ve got your back. And, we have taken away all financial barriers on the local level…,meaning there is no application fee! See page 10 for all of the competition categories. While I have you thinking about TOBY’s, go to your calendar and save the NEW date, Wednesday, December 3 for the TOBY Awards. You do not want to miss this event!
