Students are starting fresh with grades, teachers, classes, etc. It is a new beginning!
A transcript is a record of all grades throughout the four years. At the end of each semester (Dec. and May) students will receive a grade for each class. The final grade goes on the high school transcript (record). The grade received has a point value (ex: A=4.0; A-=3.67; B+=3.33, . . . D-=.67; F = 0.) The points cumulate (running total) over the four years. This becomes the grade point average and remains on the transcript permanently.
