Tommi Adegbehingbe (Year 8)

When I am an old man I shall have a pet tiger And sport a striped bow tie. I shall wear a fez and spend my money on a yacht And a private cinema, then say we’ve no money for flour. I shall kick the seats on a plane. I shall make a scene everywhere I go. You can explore the world on the TV, too And nag people out of their seats, And call cabs to go ten metres away And try to forget about the rent. But now we must not get too extravagant And pay taxes, and be a bit compassionate. We must spend time with family and friends And follow the normal trends. Maybe I ought to get some practice in – A little ‘that’s my seat’ or ‘that’s my parking space’ So that when I am an old man there will be a trace Of who I was before I went into my own crazy place.
