My name is Madeline Garcia and I am a recipient of the Lucille Craft Green Memorial Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am beyond grateful for being considered for this award, and even more honored to have been selected as a recipient. is scholarship is important to me because it provides an opportunity for me to focus on my studies. I am a nontraditional college student who postponed my education to help provide for my family. I am now taking a chance at creating a better future for myself. e circumstances I endured as a child of a cancer survivor helped me grow, and I am looking forward to more personal growth in academia and my future career with a degree in sociology.
