however. In 1996, the Ontario Court of Ap- peal ruled that a topless woman walking down a street in Guelph was not obscene – which essentiallymade it legal for women in Ontario to be topless in public. The woman who filed the original complaint has not been identified and if there will be further opposition is yet to be seen.

Robert Gratton, de Casselman, est dé- cédé à l’âge de 64 ans, lemardi 18 juillet 2017 àThunder Bay, suite à un accident de motocyclette survenue deux jours plus tôt dans la région de Geralton. M. Gratton conduisait sa moto avec trois autres amis, sur la route 11, le di- manche 16 juillet, lorsqu’il a été happé par une voiture. M. Gratton, un passionné de la moto, était trésorier du GoldWing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) Chapitre F. Au cours des années, il a été très engagé dans la communauté, notamment comme sous-préfet du canton de Cambridge de 1985 à 1998. Il a aussi été très engagé aux seins de diverses organisations de la communauté, notamment en tant direc- teur et président à quelques reprises des conseils d’administration des coo- pératives d’Embrun et de Saint-Albert.

Cette déclaration survient à la suite d’une plainte déposée dans la ville de Cornwall, par une femme non identifiée, au Tribunal des droits de la personne de l’Ontario (TDPO), contre les politiques du parc aquatique Calypso et plusieurs hôtels à Ottawa et dans certaines parties de l’Est ontarien, qui obligent les femmes de plus de 10 ans à porter un maillot de bain couvrant le haut du corps dans les piscines et les espaces publics.
