Derek Landy
In April, we were treated to an author visit by Derek Landy, creator of the Skulduggery Pleasant book series. This visit was on the publication date of his new and highly anticipated addition to the series – A Heart full of Hatred . This visit began with Mr Landy revealing that he had not written a script and instead opting to
answer our abundant questions. Mr Landy was then asked about the basics of the series, his favourite characters and if Skulduggery would ever become a movie.
To all of our surprise, Mr Landy revealed that, yes in fact Skulduggery Pleasant would in fact become a film and he said that he couldn’t reveal the studio that was producing it, but did tell us about multiple studios whose bids had failed. Mr Landy also revealed that killing characters is his favourite part about writing books and his early jobs before he wrote books. After the author visit was completed, Mr Landy left, and the signed books were available in the library to students who had ordered them.
