The Despatch Summer 2025

World Book Day

This year’s World Book Day fell on the 6th March. We had a range of activities on offer for us to complete, including a word search and an anagram sheet. If you got each one correct, you got a pack of Haribos! There was a massive bucket of them to choose from, which created a lot of excitement! Queues were lasting for up to 20 mins!!!! We hope to see this much enthusiasm next year.

DoYou Miss Dressing Up?

I’m sure most of us will have dressed up at some point in primary school and for me it was really fun, and I do quite miss it actually as there were competitions to see who had the best costume and it can get very tense and there are so many fantastic entries that come every year. Maybe, if enough of us miss it, we could try to bring dressing up back to the Lower School for next year.

What’s Next?

We are very lucky at Dulwich College because we also have DC Book Week where we enjoy lots of great events such as Bookface, which is when you have to find a book and use the cover to blend in with your face or any other

objects. This can get very wild, as seen by last year’s entries, which were hilarious!!!! This can be great fun for

everyone, and there’s more.WE GET NO HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!! WE GET TO READ INSTEAD!!!! What more could you want!? However, that is not the point; you also get to do research and other fun activities in the library, such as book quizzes and unique events and in clubs, there will be more fun and special events, so make sure to go along to some of them!
