How to Care for your Cat
Food Cats are carnivores, so it is a big surprise that most cat foods have so little meat, sometimes as little as 4% meat in them, cats cannot go on vegetarian or vegan diets. The rest is consisted of grains and fillers, which can cause digestive problems for your pet. Some brands might extend the shelf-life, but this would bring down the nutrition in the product. Some cats prefer their food wet; others prefer it dry; here are some reasons for each: Wet food is good for cats with health conditions that mean that they need more water in their diet as wet food contains more water than dry food. However, wet food is generally more expensive than the dry food and it comes in cans. Dry food is cheaper, but it isn’t as good for some cats as wet food. Water Cats generally don’t need to drink lots of water every day, it can also appear in their food. However, fresh, clean water should always be available just in case. It is also better to place their water away from their food because cats usually prefer to drink at different times than they eat. So, if you ever wonder why your cat is drinking from a puddle instead of its water bowl, that is probably why.
Space Cats require lots of space when they want it. If they don’t receive the space, it can result in an incident where you get scratched. They also like to go to small, enclosed spaces such as under a sofa, or in a cardboard box because it offers a sense of security and protection from potential threats. This is because they are naturally hunters and wild so in a tight spot, they know they are safe on all sides so they can relax.
