What is your most notable project, deal or transaction from 2024 thus far? The deal that comes to mind is a recent one: the $5.5M retail sale of 1825 Route 27 in Edison, NJ where I was part of the NAIDB team representing the seller, Sam Ash Properties Corporation. This 21,924 s/f retail center was known for decades as a hub for beginner musicians and seasoned professionals. As a lifelong local resident myself, who has been a customer at the store, it is a building that has always stood out and it was exciting to be part of the transaction. What unique qualities and/or personality do you feel makes you most successful in your profession? Being able to communicate well is an important trait that is necessary for success in this business. To be effective, brokerage professionals need to balance an outgoing demeanor with being a good listener. These characteristics often tend to be more innate, but they are skills that can be enhanced and refined. My desire to absorb industry knowledge and continually learn from my men- tors and past experiences has resulted in strong connections with property owners, investors and tenants. As a result, it has ultimately led to obtaining listings and has helped me structure transactions. I value the relationships that I have developed and putting my client’s needs first has enabled business

What is your most notable project, deal or transaction for 2023/2024? Just a few weeks ago, as part of a team, I completed the sale of a 30,000 s/f industrial property in West Caldwell, NJ. In the transaction, which presented a great case-study learning model due to some multi-dimensional challenges, NAIDB represented a food-related occupier in the acquisition. The buyer, a global brand of gourmet pastries, coffee and tea that made its East Coast debut last summer, will use the property to service all of its newly established and planned retail-shop openings from the location. The property is in close proximity to key transport routes, including I-80 and 280; US 46; and NJ Route 23. What were some of your early goals and did anything happen to change them (and how did you pivot)? Early in my career, I set a lot of personal goals and standards for myself. After attending my first end-of-year firm awards presentation, I was driven to achieve “top performer” status within the first three years of being in the business. Luckily, with the help of my principals, COO and incredible support staff, I was able to accomplish this milestone. Because goals are always meant to change/be adapted as you get close to achieving them, I am continually revising mine as a means to remain actively engaged and motivated. It also allows me to continually strive for something more in my career.
