Greetings and a warm welcome to Hamilton, Montana and Cassens Fine Art, the home of 26th Annual American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition! When AIS was founded in 1998 by Florida artists William Schultz, Charlotte Dickinson, and Marjorie Bradley and Pauline Ney, we doubt they could have imagined what the organization would become. The first national juried exhibition was held in 1999 with 50 charter members, four founders and two directors. Today, AIS is a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has grown to over 2,500 members representing every state in the U.S. The founders’ goal was to promote the appreciation of American Impressionism and to provide artists working in the Impressionist genre with exhibition, educational and networking opportunities. We are proud to carry that legacy forward. This year’s exhibition features 165 juried works from our members as well as 16 works from our AIS Masters and Board Members. A total of 1,741 paintings were submitted for jurying. This is an exceptional collection of work by some of the finest American Impressionist painters living today. Sincere congratulations to this year’s juried artists for their outstanding achievement in being selected for this prestigious exhibition. Putting together an exhibition of this caliber takes an extraordinary amount of time and hard work. Thank you to Cassens Fine Art, our generous publication and merchandise sponsors, our volunteers, members, donors, all who submitted work for jurying, the jury panel, our esteemed AIS Masters including Awards Judge Ned Mueller AISM, paintout hosts, and our program presenters.
