Appalachian: Hip, Knee & Leg Pain

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?

“The vertigo was gone!” “Soon after being slammed with a bout of Vertigo, Dr. Dan at Appalachian PT took his time to listen to my history, fully explained the malady, usual causes and what techniques he’ll use to get me back to “normal”. After one hour of Dr. Dan’s manipulation of my head position, the vertigo was gone, almost like “magic”. I had been a patient at APT in the past, and my wife is currently going there and we both highly recommend their professional services.” - Erik A, Weyers Cave, VA “Always centered around the client’s needs!” “I have seen Appalachian Physical Therapy on multiple occasions for my health concerns. The Customer first approach is always evident and the family atmosphere makes being treated relaxing. The new technology and treatment plan they propose is always centered around the client’s needs! I would highly recommend this office for everyone, they have become friends and I trust them.” - Robert W, Broadway, VA “Excellent experiences!” “Worked with their fine therapists twice over the years and have had an excellent experience both times. Spoke to my buddies about them last night at poker.” - Edward S, West End, NC “All caring people!” “Great therapists and staff and all caring people.” - Allen F, Pinehurst, NC While leg pain is noticeable by a slew of symptoms, several stick out. Aching or stiffness around the hip, groin, back or thigh may be a sign of deeper problems. A decreased range of motion can also be a sign of deeper problems which may later result in hip, knee or leg pain. Sometimes, inactivity can contribute to immobility—and later pain. If you’re limping, lurching or are experiencing bad balance, contact a physician. While some hip, knee and leg pains go away, those lasting longer than several months may be hinting at a deeper issue. How Physical Therapy Can Help. In many cases, physical therapy can help patients increase leg mobility. In doing so, they can stretch, flex and strengthen the muscles responsible for support. If a joint appears deformed, or if sudden swelling occurs, contact a physician immediately. A good physical therapy program can assist with post-operation treatment, too. If you’ve undergone treatment for osteoporosis, dislocation or a fracture, your therapist can help you reclaim full mobility—and a healthy lifestyle. From start to finish, we’re dedicated to your ongoing wellness. On every level, physical therapy serves to enhance the patient’s quality of life. We’re here to help, and we have years of experience backing every therapy option. Contact one of our providers today, and tell us about your symptoms.

PATIENT SUCCESS SPOTLIGHTS

“Helped me increase my mobility!” “I have been to a few different physical therapy places, including on Long Island, New York and recently Washington DC, as I recovered from major back issues and surgeries. I have never experienced results as quickly as I have had since becoming a patient at Appalachian Therapy in Pinehurst, NC. The team of therapists and assistants are knowledgable, caring, and personable. The sessions are based on your needs. No one checks the time on the clock. My therapist Terry, has helped me increase my mobility making me much more positive about making a full recovery. I would highly recommend Appalachian to anyone who needs any of their variety of services!” - Marcie G, Southern Pines, NC “Spot on and works!” “The Therapist listens and acts according to what you are feeling. The treatment I have received has been spot on and works!” - Joan L, Harrisonburg, VA “No more back pain!” “Wish I would’ve gone here a lot sooner. For 2 years my 14-year-old daughter experienced back pain due to softball. After x-rays, a very expensive MRI, rest, chiropractor care, and physical therapy at another place nothing was resolved. Yet a few of them said it was muscle strain (for 2 years?!?!?). Went to Appalachian TWICE and thanks to Bill doing fascia on my daughter’s back, she has had NO MORE BACK PAIN!! It’s been several months but pain free still. This place is wonderful!” - Pamela K, McGaheysville, VA
