Held on November 5th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at R5 Chicago, a new consumer insights and innovation lab located in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop, the event will feature four guest speakers who will: • discuss trends that support the importance of color in package design, • show how color can be used effectively on packaging, • talk about the importance of color in the initial design concept, • explore key factors that should be discussed with a printer during the package design process, and • explain what tools a printer relies on to ensure precision with each project. Charles Murray, President of North American Inks at Sun Chemical, will be one of the speakers at the event as well as Ronald DeVlam from the packaging design agency, Webb deVlam; David Luttenberger from the marketing intelligence agency, Mintel; and Tom Apple from Windmoeller & Hoelscher. Vetaphone Plans To Double Size Vetaphone owners Frank and Jan Eisby launched a program of growth for the company back in 2012 that would see the business double in size by 2020. Sales figures over the past four years have shown the target to be achievable with the addition of extra staff, but left a need for expanded facilities. The company has announced that architects have finished the design of a new building that will effec- tively double the size of the current headquarters in Kolding, Denmark, and allow production to be in- creased to meet the demand that those sales targets require. The new facility will add 1,500 square meters of floorspace, divided between sales and administration offices, and a canteen facility, with 350 square meters devoted to a dedicated showroom and test facility for customers. The existing 1,100 square meters building will be refurbished and commissioned exclusively for LEAN manufacturing and production.
